Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These terms govern your use of the Akshara Learning website and your Akshara Learning account, operated by Akshara Digital Learning Private Limited (“we”, “us”). By registering or using your account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who can use the service

  • To register on the website you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. A student under 18 can be registered only at their training centre, by a parent or lawful guardian who is present, agrees to these terms and our Privacy Policy for them, and is responsible for their account.
  • You must register with your own name, an Indian mobile number and an email address you control.
  • Students can use their account as soon as they register. A student can also be registered by their training centre at the centre’s counter.
  • Training centre accounts are created only by us; a centre cannot sign up on the website. We may suspend a centre’s account at our discretion, including where we cannot verify the details provided.
  • You may hold only one account, and you may not register on behalf of someone else.

2. Your account and MPIN

  • You sign in with your registered mobile number and a 4-digit MPIN. Keep your MPIN confidential. We will never ask you for it by phone, email or message.
  • You are responsible for all activity carried out with your account and MPIN.
  • If you believe your MPIN has been compromised, reset it immediately from the sign-in page and contact us. Resetting your MPIN signs you out of every other device.
  • After several failed sign-in attempts we temporarily block further attempts, to protect your account.

3. Courses, batches and enrolment

  • Each course runs in batches, each with its own start date, end date and fee, conducted by one of our training centres. You can enrol in any batch that is open and has a place available.
  • The fee shown when you enrol is fixed for your enrolment. A later change to the batch’s fee does not change what you owe.
  • Course fees are listed in Indian Rupees on our Programs & Fees page. Schedules are confirmed at enrolment.

4. Paying your fees

  • You can pay online from the Student Portal, or at your training centre’s counter. You may pay the fee in full or in parts, and you may pay again if you rejoin the same course later.
  • Online payments are processed by HDFC Bank’s SmartGateway. You enter your card or bank details on HDFC Bank’s secure payment page; we never receive or store your card number. HDFC Bank’s terms also apply to the payment.
  • We do not add any charge on top of the course fee. Your bank may apply its own charges under its terms with you.
  • A payment counts towards your fee only once HDFC Bank confirms it. Until then it is shown as pending, and a failed payment is never counted.
  • Every successful payment gets a receipt, emailed to your registered address and available to download from the Payments page of the Student Portal. A payment made at the counter is recorded by your centre and receipted in the same way.
  • You may only pay with a card or account you are authorised to use. Using a card or account that is not yours, or one obtained unlawfully, is prohibited. We may decline a payment, or ask for more information, where we suspect fraud or misuse or are required to by law.

Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. What you must not do

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Provide false information, impersonate anyone, or use another person’s account.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, its systems, or other users’ data.
  • Interfere with the service, or use automated means to access it without our permission.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and may report suspected unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.

6. Suspension and closure

We may lock, suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law or a regulator, or to protect you or other users. Where the law allows, we will tell you why. You may ask us to close your account at any time. On closure we keep your enrolment, payment and receipt records only as long as the law requires, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Course content

Course material, recordings and other content on this website belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only for your own personal learning, and may not copy, share or resell them.

8. Availability and liability

  • We work to keep the service available and accurate, but provide it “as is” and do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by HDFC Bank, other banks, networks or events outside our reasonable control.
  • To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount of the payment the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will let you know before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana.
